Hi there, Getting hold of drivers for this board might be a little difficult as I think it was an OEM board for use by Hewlett Packard which may be why it doesn't.
Hi all, I am hoping that maybe someone on this forum might be able to help. I recently bought a 2nd hand HP desktop pc, but the sound on the pc doesnt seem to work. The guy I bought the pc from did say the pc had sound problems. I tried the Line In/Line Out ports at the rear of pc, but these do not seem to work, so it looks like it could be the driver that is required. After looking at the motherboard that they are attached to, the Motherboard says GA-8SIMLNF. Now after looking at the Gigabyte download section, I cant seem to find this model to download anything. Can anyone out there maybe help as to where I can find the sound driver for this model of motherboard?

NF For no sound to rear connectors have you the 2 DIP jumpers plugged if you use not front panel ( connector F_AUDIO )? Pierre * If you want to use 'Front Audio' connector, you must move 3-4,5-6 Jumper. In order to utilize the front audio header, your chassis must have front audio connector.
Also please make sure the pin assigment on the cable is the same as the pin assigment on the MB header. To find out if the chassis you are buying support front audio connector, please contact your dealer. Hi there, Ok, went to what you mentioned above and when I opened device manager, under Sound, Video and Game Controllers, all it says is: AUDIO CODECS LEGACY AUDIO DRIVERS MEDIA CONTROL DEVICES VIDEO ETC. Is it any of these? Also my XP is Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 2 Hope that helps Russ Control Panel -->SYSTEM -->Device Manager -->Expand Audio Controler -->SIS7012 -->Details And look for PID / VID Pierre * A little question: have you installed WINXP SP3? -->if not install Microsoft HOTFIX: KB888111. • 1 Answer SOURCE: I set up this same mobo after my old one died and this was all I had. The manuals are fine except they have more pins than my mobo. Mine only has 9 pins, 4 at the top and 5 on the bottom. Bufr Decoding Software For Mp4.
I got it to power on with the POWER SW on the top right hand 2 pins, positive to LHS I think. It doesn't matter if they're around the opposite way as it won't damage the board. The bottom left hand 2 pins are your HDD LED and the next 2 pins are your RESET SW. These pins are positive to RHS. The bottom 5th pin on the far right is not used. I tried all combinations on the 2 top left hand pins for the PWR LED but got no result so just left them off.
I tried a P4 3GHz but it would only turn on for about 5 seconds then shut off. Maybe the BIOS is set only to accept a Celeron CPU. A BIOS upgrade may be in order.
Posted on Jul 28, 2009. Always get your drivers and specific software from the manufacturer of your Laptop, Notebook or Desktop.
They are usually free of charge. If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, usually one is able to download if available, by model number, All available Driver downloads as required. If the driver is not available, perhaps your manufacturer does not support the OS you are installing. This is the best way of ensuring up to date drivers for your system and they are free of charge! I hope this helps. Mar 29, 2011 .
