This has been reiterated over on YouTube itself for many years now: the Star Wars plot itself(or idea) is by no mean original. Neither has anything that has inspired it, or it will inspire afterwards. Ideologically, that simple-minded argument has never really held in the world of IPs.
Financially however, the ONLY counter to any of this is money actually; they could buy your silence or sue you to oblivion. In regards to video games(quite often acutally), you need to actually utilize(effectively stealing) the actual in-game assets of the series for cease & desist order or lawsuit to hold any ground. The abstract and intangible ideas and mindsets that made the game what it is, is not.
Otherwise we'd have whole monopolies of genres in which the barrier-of-entry in video game development is defined by how different your game is from the rest, exponentially more so than it is now.
